Agent Plugins

The Social Glass plugin brings live culture and consumer insights into your agent. It installs:
  • the Social Glass MCP connection
  • native skills for creating signals and updating insights
This is the recommended setup for Codex and Claude Code.

Codex

To get a new release:
Start a new Codex session after installing or updating.

Turn on automatic updates

Third-party marketplace updates are off by default. This setting belongs to the marketplace, not the installed plugin. Enable it once:
  1. Run /plugin.
  2. Open the Marketplaces tab at the top. Do not stay in Installed.
  3. Select the social-glass marketplace.
  4. Choose Enable auto-update.
If the option says Disable auto-update, automatic updates are already enabled. Mark for update on the installed plugin screen only queues a manual update; it does not enable automatic updates. Claude Code will check for plugin releases at startup. If it installs one, run /reload-plugins when prompted. You can also update manually:

First use

Sign in with your Social Glass account when the MCP asks you to authenticate. Your organization access follows your Social Glass account; write tools remain restricted to admins. If your agent does not support plugins, use the direct MCP connection. If the MCP is already configured, you can install only the skills. Use one setup path per agent. Installing the plugin and also adding social-glass as a standalone MCP server can create a duplicate connection.
